A Japanese hotel and cafe relaunched its menu and needed a fresh new menu design. As the clientele are from many nationalities in this tourist area a clear, concise
and easy to understand menu was essential. The menu needed all information bilingually and also images to clearly represent the food and drink.
Each meal was prepared and photographed. To accurately represent the drink, illustrations were drawn with direct communication with the barista and bar manager. The menu design echoed the global food on offer and brought in retro western style design. After the new menu was in use the managers saw increased sales and a wider variety of customers.
